Sevdiği kadın Vesper tarafından ihanete uğrayan 007, son görevini kişisel alma yönündeki içgüdüleriyle savaşmaktadır. Gerçeği açığa çıkarmak konusunda kararlı olan Bond ve M (JUDI DENCH)'in sorguladığı Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) Vesper'a şantaj yapan organizasyonun, herkesin düşündüğünden çok daha karmaşık ve tehlikeli olduğunu belli eder.

Adli istihbarat bilgileri Bond'u kendi intikam planları olan, güzel ama hırçın Camille (OLGA KURYLENKO) ile tanıştırır. Camille Bond'u doğrudan acımasız bir işadamı ve gizemli teşkilatta büyük bir güç olan Dominic Greene'e (MATHIEU AMALRIC) götürür.

Vesper'ın ihanetinden sorumlu olan adamı bulmaya yaklaşırken, 007 Greene'in sinsi planını açığa çıkarıp 'Quantum'u durdurmak için CIA, teröristler hatta M'in bir adım önünde olmalıdır.
