24’ün “Yedinci Günü”, dizinin adeta tarz belirleyen o kendine has yapısını, sürükleyici yeni unsurlarla birleştiriyor. Her bölüm yine bir saatlik gerçek zamanlı akışa sahip olacak ve izleyiciler Jack Bauer’ın (Kiefer Sutherland) bir diğer hayret verici gününü daha takip edecekler.

7. Gün, Washington’da altıncı sezon üzerinden 4 yıl geçmiş halde başlıyor. CTU kapatılmış ve Bauer da yargılanmaktadır. Bauer’ın günü, eski meslektaşı Tony Almeida’nın ( Carlos Bernard) dönüşüyle beklenmedik şekilde yön değiştirir. Bu esnada yeni seçilmiş olan Başkan Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) yanında Beyaz Saray Genel Sekreteri Ethan Kanin (Bob Gunton) ve bizzat kendi eşi Henry Taylor (Colm Feore) ile birlikte ülkeyi yönetmektedir.

Ortaya çıkan bir ulusal güvenlik krizi nedeniyle Janis Gold (Janeane Garofalo), Renee Walker (Annie Wersching), Larry Moss (Jeffrey Nordling) ve Sean Hillinger (Rhys Coiro) adlı ajanlar tarafından bir soruşturma başlatılmıştır. Gerçi CTU artık yoktur, ama Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) ve Bill Buchanan (James Morrison) yine sarsıcı olaylarla dolu unutulmaz bir günde yerlerini alırlar.

24, senaryosu Joel Surnow ve Robert Cochran tarafından yazılıp, yapımcılığını Real Time Productions ile Imagine Television üstlendiği ve 20th Century Fox Television’ın katkılarıyla hazırlanmış bir dizidir.
