Dağıtım şirketinde şoförlük yapan Doug Heffernan (Kevin James) ile hukuk bürosunda sekreterlik yapan eşi Carrie Heffernan’ın (Leah Remini) aşk, yaşam, aile ve evlilik gibi konular çevresinde dönen maceralarına tanık oluyoruz. The King of Queens, ilhamını gündelik yaşamdan alıyor. Genç evli çift Doug ve Carrie yaşadığımız çağı yansıtan ev içi gerçekler ile boğuşurken ‘kendi halimize gülmemizi’ sağlıyor.
Doug eşini, işini, büyük ekran televizyonunu ve dostları Deacon (Victor Williams), Spence (Patton Oswalt) ve Richie’yi (Larry
Romano) çok seviyor. Doug’ın yemeğe olan aşırı düşkünlüğüne, Carrie’nin pahalı elbiselere karşı tutkusuna rağmen birbirlerine
